학과소개
본 학과는 1979년 12월 5일 석사과정, 1981년 11월 27일 박사과정을 신설하여 지금까지 신입생을 선발ㆍ교육ㆍ양성하고 있다.
본 학과의 교육목표는 첫째, 교육이 인류문명의 역사와 인간사회에서 어떤 의미와 가치를 지니는지 이해하고, 보다 훌륭한 교육의 원리는 어떤 조건을 요구하는가를 탐구하는 것이다.
둘째, 다양한 교육과정을 통하여 교육학의 이론 및 실천분야를 잘 이해하여, 교육행위에 대한 역사적, 철학적, 과학적 설명과 더불어 이를 분석하고 비판함으로써 교육활동을 체계적으로 이해하도록 한다.
셋째, 새로운 교육의 원리를 탐구하는 데 요구되는 기본적인 자질과 능력을 갖출 수 있도록 한다.
본 학과의 교육과정 조직은 교육의 철학적 배경을 이해하고 탐구하는 교육철학ㆍ도덕교육, 교수 및 학습과정을 이해하고 교육현장에 내재하는 모든 심리적 과정을 탐구하는 교육심리ㆍ교육상담 및 상담심리, 교육활동이 어떻게 구성되고 실천되는지를 탐구하는 교육과정, 수업모형(교수-학습모형)을 설계ㆍ개발하면서 AI, ICT와 같은 테크놀로지의 교육적 활용을 탐구하는 교육공학, 다양한 학습자를 대상으로 하는 교육행위에 대해 탐구하는 평생교육ㆍ특수교육, 교육이 올바른 방향으로 나아갈 수 있도록 그 틀을 형성하면서 지원체제를 구축하는 것을 탐구하는 교육행정, 데이터에 기반한 과학적 연구 방법론을 제시하고 탐구하는 교육측정ㆍ평가로 구분된다.
Introduction
College of Education seeks to maintain quality education for secondary school teachers, as well as to realize the spirit of foundation of Yeungnam University-the devotion to the creation of a new history in our country.
Our school devotes itself to the development and presentation of teacher preparation and certification programs. It provides rigorous professional courses and administers established teacher education programs. Our program strives to educate the prospective teacher to perform all the roles which may be expected of a teacher. To accomplish this objective, we focus upon a sound liberal or general education, an extended knowledge of the subjects to be taught, and skills in managing a classroom and supervising the learning process.
Thus, we exert ourselves to educate enterprising-spirited, eligible teachers whose personality is well-balanced and well-disciplined and whose sense of responsibility is strong enough to assume the secondary education of the future generations.
